In late August National Wireless exhibited at AIMEX 2017 (Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition) at the Sydney Showgrounds. The event was a great opportunity to network with other suppliers to the mining industry and meet representatives from the mining industry and show them how two way radio is evolving to provide solutions to their unique needs.
We would like to thank Hytera and Sepura for their support with this event. We were thrilled to demonstrate exciting new Hytera and Sepura radio products on our stand.
Each day at 10:30 we did a live demonstration of the Hytera LTE-LMR Multi Mode radios. Graham and Sean, from Hytera, ably demonstrated the features and benefits of this cutting edge radio product that can operate on your existing digital or analog radio network and broadband via your mobile network. The interface on the Multi Mode radios bears a startling resemblance to that of a smart phone, whilst maintaining the durability of a radio.
We were very excited that Hytera gave us an exclusive look at their new DIB-R5 Tetra outdoor base station, yet to be released on the market and allowed us to display it for our customers at AIMEX. We look forward to sharing more about this product with you, when it is closer to release in Australia.
Sepura brought with them a range of Tetra radios, including a prototype, that we look forward to learning more about as it is released on the market.
Running in conjunction with AIMEX was a free to attend “Future of Mining” conference. We took the opportunity to sit in on several sessions. Of particular interest was a session on noise control in the Hunter Valley – we have recently added a “hornless horn” to our product range and look forward to bringing you more information about this shortly. Please contact us, if you would like more information now.
Thank you to our customers who stopped by to see us on our stand.
If you were unable to attend but would have liked to come and learn more about digital two way radio technology and it’s many applications in the mining industry, please call us on 1300 852 929, to discuss how we can assist you to increase safety and efficiency on your mine site.
